Privacy policy
Pre-launch draft. Provider identity, contact address, and effective date will be finalized before public sales.
Local-first accounting data
The Ledger is desktop software. Ordinary accounting data—including transactions, customer and vendor records, payroll records, reconciliations, reports, and company files—stays in locations you choose. McMurry Software does not operate general cloud storage, synchronization, or backup for your ledger files.
Website and purchases
Our website and service providers may process ordinary technical request data. Stripe processes checkout and payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. McMurry Software may receive customer identity, contact, order, payment-status, refund, and dispute information needed to fulfill and support a purchase. We do not receive full card numbers.
Trials, licensing, and updates
The licensing service may receive a license key, product and version, activation request, machine-bound public key and privacy-minimized device fingerprint, request time, network metadata, and activation status. Update services receive ordinary request information needed to check and deliver releases. These services do not require your ledger file.
Support and feedback
We process information you intentionally provide for support or feedback. Do not send confidential accounting, payroll, tax, banking, client, or personal information unless we specifically request it and you have authority to provide it.
Service providers and retention
We may use providers for hosting, payments, email, signing, software distribution, monitoring, and security. We retain information only as reasonably needed for licensing, fulfillment, support, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, legal, backup, and dispute purposes.
Contact
A privacy contact method will be published before public sales begin.
