End User License Agreement

The complete EULA is undergoing final provider-identity and attorney review. Checkout will not open until the final agreement is published. This page summarizes the material commercial terms.

License, not sale

Subject to payment, activation scope, and compliance with the agreement, McMurry Software grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use The Ledger for internal accounting and related business purposes. McMurry Software retains ownership of the software and intellectual property.

Perpetual purchased-version license

A perpetual license permits indefinite use of the licensed version on activated, compatible systems. It does not automatically include future major versions, modules, hosted services, paid support, custom development, migration, professional services, or guaranteed future compatibility.

Local files and user responsibility

Users control their company files and are responsible for backups, security, access, record retention, accounting review, tax and payroll compliance, professional judgment, and deciding whether The Ledger is appropriate for their circumstances.

No professional advice

The Ledger is a tool and does not provide accounting, tax, payroll, legal, audit, financial, employment, or compliance advice. Users must review calculations, classifications, reports, imports, reconciliations, filings, and business decisions.

Updates and compatibility

Updates and support are provided only as expressly stated. McMurry Software does not promise indefinite compatibility with operating systems, third-party services, banks, payment processors, tax rules, hardware, or future software components.

Warranty and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Ledger will be provided as-is and with warranty disclaimers, exclusions of consequential and indirect damages, and a contractual cap on McMurry Software's cumulative liability. Final enforceable language will appear in the complete agreement.
